Interesting how folks keep coming up with creepy bugs that I've never seen, and I've lived here for... too many years.

Doesn't harvestman aka daddy longlegs have 8 legs? This creepy crawler only appears to have 6, with one of the front ones broken.

The body looks nothing like a daddy longlegs to me... I am curious what kind of spider it is though...

A fly was very close to being called a "land," cause that's what they do half the time.

Not likely an arachnid (spider genus) they have 8 legs!

Not to get too technical but: the more common daddy longlegs we find here in SB are spiders in the family Pholcidae. They are also known as cellar spiders. Harvestman are also commonly called daddy longlegs and are also arachnids. They are not technically spiders but are in a separate order called Opiliones. The one in the picture looks like its lost several legs. That's the science lesson for the day! Nice pictures.

it's a harvestman. Better to call them that since everybody seems to call house spiders "daddy longlegs" lately.

This bug eats the bad bugs in your garden. Best to leave him be.
