Meet Dubbel, aka Dubbel Trouble, Dubs, Doober, The Doob, named after the beer style, a dark ale
(dad's a brewer). A friend found him and his brother and sister abandoned up in the hills and brought
them home, and we were lucky enough to get this little guy! Everyone thinks he's a full blooded black
lab, and he certainly has the energy and lovable, playful nature to back that up. He loves to chew on
anything and everything (our couch, so-called "durable" toys that last about five seconds, rawhides),
and has made his own doggie door by running through the screen multiple times. He can usually be
found hanging out outside the Brewhouse while dad's working, but he'd much rather be at the beach or
the dog park!
First night we brought him home - sleeping on the floor didn't last long, he was in our bed later
that night and still thinks it's his.

Awwwww...what a cute boy! Love the one where he's snoozing in the back seat with a spilled bowl of kibble. I'm thinking he might be 98% lab because there would be no food in sight if he was 100%!

Lucky day for both of you when his family was found abandoned in the hills. He is just adorable. Gotta love lab personalities.

That gorgeous sleek coat and wonderfully happy smile. All labs should be at the off-leash beach at least twice a week. Kisses to The Doob.

Labs are the best! They have very long puppyhoods but once they grow up at about age 3, their only purpose in life is to make you happy.

Awwwww, what a honey! You're a lucky guy. He looks like my female 1 1/2 year old Lab/Shepherd/Pit/Dane mix. Of course a rescue. She's sweeter than pie but the 1st nine months she chewed every wooden (and irreplaceable) arm on every outdoor piece of furniture we had. Of course shoes were delish but nothing compared to the pillows on the couch. She's occasionally obedient when there's no deer/coyote scent nearby. Then it's into the brush, poison oak be damned. Have a long and happy life together!

If we had it to "do over" we would NOT have used tennis balls for "fetch" The covering acts like "sandpaper" and wore down our beautiful dog's teeth. This kid deserves to keep his teeth... just sayin'
