Don't need it this year, but I've always found that a bloody mary, pancakes, a shower and a hit of pot worked wonders. Then take a nap. :-) Happy New Year!

Don't drink but if you did just say in bed, drink lots of water and take vitamins. You poisoned your body last night.

A greasy breakfast burrito and a bevy of beverages. Ginger ale, gatorade, water, coffee. Then just wait it out.

If you eat sugar you are poisoning your body. That's what you did, too much sugar, not enough water. Yes to greasy fast food, water, not moving, smoking weed, and a little hair of the dog.

Gotta sweat out the poison and hydrate at the same time so either sex, hot shower, jacuzzi, etc. for sweating and drink gatorade with advil & tums. Avoid things high in acid and sugar, instead salty and wet.

Water with lemon juice, lots of it, to help your liver and kidneys flush out all the toxins. No to the sweet or greasy foods. And YES to some multi-B vitamins which are water soluble and will get flushed out. Sugar is a 'poison', in that it turns your intestines pH to acidic, when it need to be slightly alkaline for nutrient uptake. Sugars of all kinds keep food in your stomach and upper intestines too long where it ferments ( you know what that means later) which keeps nutrients from entering the bloodstream and doing timely repairs. Stick to broth based leafy-veggie soups and stay away from carbs from all sources.

Bloody Mary with V-8 and eat the celery stick. Avoid greasy foods as your liver is working overtime as it is to break down the metabolites it produced while break down the alcohol which you imbibed with such gleeful abandon - and which ironically are making your feel like you've just been through a bear's intestinal tract. After enough such voyages you learn to avoid the obvious cause and you too can smile at the less experienced when they ask how to get past the Mother of all Hangovers. Happy New Year!

I like how all over the map these " remedies " are. Some say one thing, others say no, some say something off the wall. My tip, if you find yourself in this situation sadly is preventative and requires follow through. So it might not help after the fact as much. Drink alot of water before falling asleep, rehydrate before you pass out. Sex helps, probably because the endorphins just make you feel better.

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

057, I love that quote. I heard it on "Sinatra, Live at the Sands." Recorded in Las Vegas at the height of his career. One of my favorite CD's. And I heard "New York, New York," last night being broadcast at Time Square. Sinatra was the bomb. I wonder how many hangovers he had. . .

I was thinking about it and I realized that drinking is really bad for me. So I have decided to give up thinking. But seriously, two hot pockets and a beer seems to be doing the trick.

Thanks for the laughs! The only cure I know of is sleep -- you don't feel the pain. No hangover here, was getting ready for bed at midnight. Oh, I guess aging also cures hangovers.

Water, gatorade and advil. If you drink a good tequilla you don't get a hangover. It's all the sugar and the added stuff that's hard on the body. Skip the mixers. I love a good sipping tequilla.

“That's the problem with drinking, I thought, as I poured myself a drink. If something bad happens you drink to forget it; if something good happens you drink to celebrate it; and if nothing happens you drink to make something happen.”

SBROCKS - O contrare. As a drinker of nothing but good tequila may I strongly disagree. Perhaps the inherent cost of a shot of high end tequila keeps the average consumption level down, giving the appearance of a less-than-ugly hangover.

Pre hydrate with Gatorade and make sure you have the next day off. Then there is the lime in a coconut. Coconut milk has electrolytes and limes vitamin C.
