Many are planning and building, hoping to survive the end of the

Yes, I definitely want to be alive to see this. However, considering the doubt in what form this annihalation will arrive, how can one begin to plan for it? If it is a giant tidal wave, depending on where on lives, one would need to build a large boat in which to place all one's family, one's household and personal belongings, and of course our pets. Or, if we got nuked, we would need an enormous self maintaining nuclear safe bunker to place all the above, in which to stay until radiation dissipates. Guess I should plan on both.

Wait.................... Doesn't the "end of the world" mean that the world ends? If there is no more world there are no survivors. Have a nice tomorrow. :)

The end of the world as we know it. There would be survivors in the human and animal sectors, then the battle to survive would begin.

WTF? Rachel Rachel, if you are worried about the end, I'm happy to help. For a a few thousand, I am happy to buy anything that you won't need in the end. So my girl don't you worry, help is on the way.

Hopefully, UCLAFANATIC, if the human race is to survive :-) What a pity there are no people on this thread willing to experiment with their imagination. It could have been fun. We see movies with all kinds of outrageous scenarios without turning a hair, New York swept away, wild animals escaping from the Zoo, prowling around the city and so on and so forth, but no one wants to contribute on here. Why not? The humour is here too. I began to think about the people I would be responsible for and remembered my clinically claustrophobic mother in law who has slept on the porch for 50 years. How would we be able to get her, pulling, howling and half passing out down into the bowels of the earth and into the tomb like bunker? Seriously.

O.K., 760, scenario: "End of the world": the waters rise all over the planet; land masses disappear, our land mass shrinks; the nations with no more land climb ashore onto ours about at the time D.C. (government) and the West Coast (foodbasket) have disappeared; territorial wars ensue; meanwhile no end to the tornadoes, sandstorms and torrential rains. So am I up for a Pulitzer?
