Not very patriotic, but that baby is SO happy... don't we all wish for that blissful look and feeling? Thank you, to ALL Veterans.

Great shots showing the breadth and complexity of our American experience! Thanks to all who sent in the photos, and be sure to thank a veteran (or hug one if you are lucky enough).

it's about the PEOPLE, the Vets who fought and offered their lives to defend our country/country's interests. I'd like to see more photos about how to honor the people. It's not Flag Day.

I signed up with the Organic Soup Kitchen, as a volunteer for Thanksgiving at the Veterans Memorial Building on Cabrillo. Is that considered patriotic? I think the American flag is one way to show patriotism.

At the start of WWII, a group of Native Indians showed-up at a recruiter`s office & announced, "Were here to join"...They even brought their own rifles..but the recuiter looked at the fat Indian & said.."You can`t go because you`re too fat to run"!...whereas the fat Brother replied "I did`nt come to run, I came to fight"..The history of Native Indians in America`s conflicts is renown & many battles would have been lost had it not been for the contribution of Native Indians..
