Did you know there's one country creating so little trash that others
are paying to have them burn their stash?

Exporting our own made-in-America trash is an issue. During one of the City of SB's council meetings on their soon-to-be plastic bag ordinance, it was revealed there is a strong possibility the plastic grocery bags city residents recycle in the blue bins are actually exported to a third-world country and burned. That's because the City's recycler in Ventura picks through the profitable recyclables, then sells the remainder, including plastic grocery bags, to another party in the Inland Empire who then sells it to someone else (no tracking is legally required). The recycler in Ventura thinks the bags are exported and burned for cash.

Why would anyone pay someone else for their plastic and then burn it? This argument makes no sense whatsoever.

Actually people are paying Sweden to burn their trash and Sweden uses it to make energy...

So the Swedes have figured out a way to burn plastic without creating acrolein gas? If that is possible, why aren't we burning our own trash and making power from it? Don't tell me, let me guess...it's a conspiracy! Oh well, sounds good, more power to them...literally! :)
